Project scope was to install 8,000′ of 24″ chilled water main, 12,000 feet of 4″ conduit from central energy plant to remote building across Capital campus. This installation required boring and installation of 60″ diameter casing under Capital Avenue and MLK Boulevard. During installment, we discovered old construction, railroad, and many obstacles under Capital Avenue which prevented boring and went to “cut and cover”.
